Upon Lani’s return, Kane had yet to arrive home. She went to the bathroom to freshen up before sitting on the balcony to read the script. Lately, Lani enjoyed drinking tea and reading scripts on the small bench on the balcony; it felt very chill and helped her learn the scripts faster.

When Kane returned, he hugged Lani before heading to the bathroom. Lani poured another cup of tea, intending to bring it to Kane after he finished showering, but she accidentally overheard his conversation with Maris.

“Mom, I’ve told you, Lani and I aren’t in a rush to have children. Lani’s career is booming. She has many TV projects she wants to pursue. I can’t ask her to put her career on hold to have kids,” Kane said, unaware Lani was listening behind the door.

It seemed Maris was offering some advice or encouragement from the other end of the line, but Kane interrupted her.

“I know. I’m aware I’m not getting any younger, and people my age all have kids already.”

“But
