Chapter 127. I Thought You Might Need a Hug
“Alright, go sit down and wait. Breakfast will be ready in three minutes.”
Kane guided Lani to sit in a chair beside the dining table, continuing to prepare breakfast.
He baked the sandwich, placed it on a plate, adding tomatoes, bacon, fried eggs, and a slice of cheese.
He poured Lani another glass of milk, poured himself a glass of water, and then carried them to the table.
“Exclusive five-star restaurant breakfast served right here.”
Kane placed the plate down, tilting his head to laugh at Lani. His smile revealed a set of perfectly aligned teeth.
Lani happily ate her sandwich and drank her milk. She was halfway through when she felt full.
So, she put the remaining half of the sandwich down, her face wrinkling as she looked at Kane.
“I’m full now, can’t eat anymore.”
Without a word, Kane reached out, took Lani’s leftover sandwich, and finished it. After eating, Lani went to the living room to watch a movie while Kane stayed be
