Chapter 36. As Long as I know You Love Me
“Hold on. Have I permitted you to leave?” The man’s voice suddenly turned icy, catching Hebe off guard. She dared not express anger as before, fearing he might hit her. So, she cautiously asked, “Is there still an issue?”
The man stood defiantly, arrogantly lifting his chin as Hebe had done earlier, his voice steady.
“Earlier, your bag fell on my shoes and dirtied them. Now, you should bend down and clean my shoes for me.”
Hebe’s mouth gaped open wide enough to fit an egg. She never expected there could be someone so audacious in the world. However, she couldn’t deny that when she collided with him earlier, her shopping bag had fallen and made a mess on his shoes.
Hebe wanted to say something more, but as she opened her mouth, she saw the man tightening his grip on his fist, calmly looking at her.
“Don’t want to clean my shoes, huh? Easy. Let me punch you three times to vent my frustration. Consider it payback for today’s unfortunate encounter,” he said
