Octavius' expression softened when he saw her big blue watery eyes looking at him like she would start crying anytime. Well, he was right as she was about to cry.
“I am not an enemy! My mom and your mom were good friends so you can trust me!” Octavius said surprising Rhiannon as she had not expected such a thing.
She looked at her aunt and saw her nodding her head.
“Yes, do you remember I told you that I went for an attachment and internship in your mother’s friend’s company? That friend is his mother. That’s how I got to know him when he was a little boy,” Melda said as she chuckled.
“Well, I can see that you managed to learn the cold expression and seem distant,” Melda said with a chuckle making Octavius' ears turn red.
