Chapter 22. Taken Her Hostage

She gave me a snarl. “Smartass! Hand him the phone.”

‘I don’t think I will do that.’

She cut me off before I could continue. “HAND HIM THE CELL PHONE!”

Nicholas looked wary when he put the phone to his ear after I threw it at him. “Miss Adams.”

Her shouts reverberated throughout the plane’s cabin and I giggled. He released my hand and pinched the bridge of his nose. “I didn’t brainwash her, I assure you.”

He muttered in my ear, “I’ll get you for this.” He gave a short laugh when I slapped his hand. After that, he cleared his throat and returned to his conversation with Lory.
