Chapter 106
FINN
It's been a day since I last talked to Scarlett. Well, she's been acting off since the day we arrived at the hospital and hasn't even tried to talk to me since our last encounter.
Raya's surgery is in two days and she's just— cracking annoying jokes as usual and Scarlett is tagging along. It annoys the hell out of me but my mother was suddenly and oddly happy that Raya wasn't so sad about this whole thing. It had me questioning her.
"She's about to amputate one leg, Finn. She's trying to be positive. I think we should all be," my mother said while we ate lunch at the cafeteria. Scarlett had offered to keep Raya company while we went on lunch break. Obviously, she told my mum and avoided my eyes like I wasn't standing right before him in the room.
