Chapter 21. The Long Road to Justice
The aftermath of the final battle left the town in shambles. The streets were littered with debris, and the warehouse where Jacob and his men had holed up was now a smoldering ruin. Nathan and his team had emerged victorious, but the cost had been high. Several members of the team had been injured, and one had lost their life in the battle. Nathan and Miranda were exhausted, physically and emotionally drained from the experience. They had managed to take down Jacob and his men, but it had come at a great cost.
