"I think there's too much lemon. It's so sour that it's numbing my tongue," Alice said, not for the first time.
"No, it's refreshing and enjoyable on such a sunny day. Besides, haven't you always liked eating lemons directly? Why do you find this iced lemon too sour and full of lemon?" Alden pressed.
Alice furrowed her brow, not because she was surprised or angry, but because she was taken aback by Alden's significant point. Whole lemons, yes, that's right. A whole lemon would be much more sour than an iced lemon, which would typically be sweetened with a little sugar or honey.
