Chapter 13. The Third Person

"Is it true that Ratu is married, Mi?" Fritz asked Ami. He looked down at the city below the building. His hand was holding a drink.

Ami swallowed. Talking to this man in front of her made her uncomfortable. Aside from his high power and ice-cold demeanour, Fritz never hesitated to eliminate his enemies.

"Right," Ami said quietly.

Fritz exhaled. The vapour from his breath fogged up the glass in front of him. He sipped his drink again. Fritz couldn't stop thinking. With his current position, wealth, and charisma, why couldn't Ratu's father ever approve of him being his son-in-law? Forget about Ratu's father. Fritz was even more surprised at Ratu. Why had she never once fallen for him?

Fritz turned around. He then sat in front of Ami while crossing his legs. One hand was on the back of the chair, and his right hand was still fiddling with his drink glass.
