Yuna set her teacup down with a feigned annoyance. “You’re obviously here to see Emmeline, not me. Why did you have to wait for me to get home first?”

Minnie plopped down on the single sofa beside Emmeline and promptly snatched up her cup of tea. “It’s not polite to just barge into someone’s home when you know the lady of the house is out. Emmeline is your guest, so she can come and go freely. But I’m just a visitor.”

She took a long sip, making Emmeline shudder. “How can you just drink from my cup after it was literally just at my lips?”

Minnie lowered the cup with a quirk of her finely arched brow. “Your lips, you say? Which ones exactly?”

Emmeline’s eyes widened in shock for a moment before her face flushed bright red. “Minnie!”

“You need to make yourself more comfortable around me!” Minnie grinned unrepentantly as she set the cup back down. “We’re married friends - we should be comfortable with each other.”
