These can be signs of emotional distress that may result from various causes, including emotional abuse.”
“And did you observe any such indicators in Mrs. Maine during your interactions with her?” Brody probed.
Dr. Ross paused, considering her answer carefully. “Over the course of our doctor-patient relationship, I noticed changes in Mrs. Maine’s demeanor on the day of the examination in question. She had become more withdrawn, appeared to have lost weight, and mentioned sleep difficulties. Also, she exhibited significant anxiety and emotional distress.”
