Elysia's POV

We were so excited but then, we excitement quickly fades as I realizes that they will need to open the safe. I takes a deep breath and looks at Macy with a worried expression.

"I don't know how to open it. Maybe my fingerprint will work?" I suggests, beginning to stamp my fingers all over the safe.

Macy shakes her head, "I don't think so, it's probably not set up to recognize anyone's fingerprints but the owner's."

My heart sinks as I realizes Macy's words are true. I give up, tears forming in my eyes as I contemplates the idea of forcing a memory I might not even remember.

Macy notices my distress and quickly thinks of a solution. "Instead of that, let's try all birthdays. We'll start with your parents and sister, then move on to Kate's brother, Adam, Damon, and Ian."

I nods and they begin trying all possible dates, but the safe remains locked. Frustration builds up as they try over and over again. My anxiety worsens with each unsucc
