Nina’s POV

I was disgusted. The way she used people without a second thought, the way she believed that anything was justifiable as long as it got her what she wanted. But back then, no one had called her out. She had slipped through the cracks, her reputation remaining intact despite the whispers. I had watched from the sidelines as she climbed higher, using people like stepping stones.

She thought she could also use me as one of her pawns, but what she and my father had forgotten in the long run was that the moment I stepped out of that house, I was no longer the Nina they used to know. I was replaced by a more intimidating woman, ready to face the world head-on, and no matter what life threw towards her would always find a way to bypass it. This was the new Nina, and I would never let anyone intimidate me anymore!
