Chapter 100. Maria
The plane landed at the Airport smoothly. They walked side by side, heading to the lobby where Adrian's driver had been waiting.
"Adrian, I think I'm going in another direction, as I told you I have a very important matter to take care of," said Sarah when they were inside the car. Adrian turned to her, "It's easier if you come with me to the meeting first," he replied flatly.
Sarah cleared her throat, "Adrian, please? Not that I don't want to be professional but I need to fix things that can't be delayed..." she stammered.
Adrian shrugged, "Okay, I'll see you after then," he said at last.
"Where do you want us to drop you?" he asked without turning his face toward her.
"Um, at 242 Avenue," she had to stop several blocks away from the mental hospital where she would see her mother.
