Sarah bit her lips tightly, and her heart was racing so fast that she was hardly breathing. Jealousy, anger, and disappointment all twisted in her heart. What should she do? Ran over to The Ritz, confronted Adrian and Kate, or pretended she didn't know anything?

Should she confront them? She should throw away that idea. She and Adrian were in the middle of an unofficial relationship that put her in an uncertain position. After contemplating for almost twenty minutes, she finally pretended she knew nothing.

"Hey, where are you? I think I left my AirPods in your penthouse," a message was sent. She cleaned up her desk, took her bag and laptop, and then walked to the elevator, ready to leave the office. She glanced at her cell phone now and then to check if Adrian had replied to her message. But until she left the office building, her incoming message remained empty.
