Sarah nodded, half-smiling,

"I'm sorry, Sir. I was just so curious. Very well then, I'll just leave, see you tomorrow!" she said hurriedly.

She took her handbag and was ready to leave when Adrian's voice stopped her.

"We're not in a relationship, I mean, I'll stay by her side whenever she needs me with the pregnancy stuff, but we..." he paused to take a deep breath, making Sarah wait impatiently.

"I mean everything is no longer the same with me and her," he finished his words then felt stupid after that because he didn't know why he felt the need to explain it to Sarah.

Sarah just nodded twice. She had to stay cool to keep Adrian curious about her. "I think that's a very good decision," she replied encouragingly, then continued her steps to walk to the elevator.
