Chapter 75. Special

Thomas’s POV

Emma helps me out of the back of her car and leads me to a wheelchair waiting for us at the hospital entrance. I want to protest at being wheeled around, but I don’t have the energy.

I am taken back to a room where a doctor checks me over. The whole time I keep my eyes glued to the door, hoping someone will come in and tell me what happened to Mia.

“His wolf is healing him,” the doctor says. “He will just need some time to come to terms with what happened to his mate.”

I watch silently as the doctor leaves the room. I want to yell out after him and ask him about Mia, but once again, I cannot find the energy to do so.

“Thomas, can you explain what happened?” Ethan says as he snaps his fingers in front of my face, trying to get my attention.
