Orion was having a good day. He was currently walking back towards the east courtyard, nodding at the servants and wolves who saw him.

For the first time in a long time, he felt both pride and vindication. He had just walked back from a secret meeting in whitevale, where he met with a delegation who had rushed ahead on their own.

His gamble had paid off.

According to his lieutenant, they had managed to get an elder to follow them here.

He was finally going to get the justice he knew he deserved.

That was the reason why he noticed far too late that something was different in the castle. Usually, the mere sight of him would send fear into the hearts of the wolves who saw him ---- servants or not.
