Chapter 75. The Wolves Are Coming

Aria blinked at her friend, confusion still present in her gaze, she was still caught off guard by both the sudden look and frantic hugs of her friend and also what she had to say.

“Rose.” Aria spoke slowly, her brows furrowed as she tried to calm her friend down.

Of course, she knew that the war was about to start. She just never considered it important, mainly because it was the least of her problems, but also because both her and Lucien lived on the outskirts of the clawhold.

It would take a while before any war that might eventually start would affect them. The only thing at the back of their cottage was the WhiteVale and that was miles and miles of unexplored ancient forests.

In fact, Aria thought she was probably safer here than she would be if she was sequestered away in the castle.

“Why are you so frantic?” she asked. “I know the war is coming, but I am too far out to care about that. At least not now.”
