Chapter 12. The Absence of My Mate

Khalid’s POV

Sitting inside my office, I kept going through the files on my desk. It was exhausting, but I still spent the entire day working tirelessly inside here.

Trying to take my mind off the image of the girl that I just saved from drowning years back.

I was supposed to be thinking about my mate and not her.

Sighing, I proceed with the files on my desk when struggling to take my mind away from anything, especially away from her.

“I am sure that our mate will be somewhere waiting for us, bro,” my wolf, Draco, said.

I sighed and looked away. I have been hearing this exact word for years now.

And I am damn tired of it, every damn time she is somewhere when I have turned the whole realm upside down in search of her.
