Chapter 36. The Invitation

Aria’s POV

I thought that I told Davis that the guards won’t allow him in without causing any altercation.

But before I could stand up I heard the words that stopped me from walking.

“She is still sleeping… She will meet you later,” It was the only response from Khalid before he slammed the door forcefully.

I shut my eyes instantly with the fear that they will break at his hinges.

I heard footsteps walking forward and I knew that he was coming back to bed.

I could feel his heated gaze on me as he made his way to the bed.

Snapping my eyes with a glare hurling his way, I noticed he started crawling back to the bed.

I pulled off the duvet before he could slide in, he cocked his head at me with a furrowed eyebrow.

“Why did you lie to Davis?”

“I even thought that you were sleeping,” He said but I knew that he was lying.

“Stop lying and answer me!” I yelled.

“Besides it is too early to start visiting someone,”
