Chapter 30
I had made my decision, and I would stick by it. I had earlier spoken with Duke in my house and told him everything that happened between his mother and me. I had finally seen where my heart was — it was with Duke! Duke may not be the prince in shining armor like Luke, or he may not be the heir to the throne like Ruke, but he was the prince of my heart.
“What are you going to do?” he asked me.
I held his hands and said, “That is not the question you should ask; rather, what are we going to do? That is what you should be asking.”
He smiled and then asked, “What are we going to do?”
“We are going to take your brother to the royal court, and we will do everything we can, both of us; we will do it together. We will fight the world and the system together,” I said.
