Chapter 19

“Can you turn the volume of the TV down?” Lucas shouted.

He was telling his little kid as he was trying to fix his kitchen cabinet. His wife Kate was busy preparing dinner for the family and for Dave, Martha, and George as they were expecting them to arrive that night.

“Honey, you haven’t told me about your friends coming in this night,” Kate asked.

Lucas kept quiet, pretending he didn’t hear her, and was more focused on his work, hitting the nail with a hammer. As he was done, he then turned to his wife.

“This is really great, huh?” Lucas asked, ignoring the question thrown at him by his wife.

“That’s good, but I asked you something before,” Kate reminds him.

“Yeah, they are good. Dave is an ex-boxer in the US; George is an ex-military, somehow a suspended military; and Martha is Dave’s girlfriend. Are you okay with it now?” Lucas asked

After explaining what his friends are to his wife, his wife is not yet convinced as she knew her husband
