Chapter 44. Caught. Dealt With

Two days later. Things have been going smoothly for Serena, and she has been living more freely in the castle. Somehow, she is no longer too scared of king Zed, though she respects him a lot.

Every time he calls for her, he asks her to do trivial things and then sends her off instantly. His sudden change worries Serena a bit, though. It’s like she is always unhappy whenever king Zed asks her to leave his chambers.

Right now, she is lying on her bed, staring up at the rolling fan. A knock comes on her door, and she quickly sits up. "Who is there?" She asks while trying to pick out the scent of the person.
