They needed to talk.

To clear the air because clearly he wasn’t over this Brendan shit and Evelyn was still very angry. This was the perfect opportunity to start talking and finally fix things.

But damned if he could think now.

He had been hard as a rock the moment Evelyn had started kissing him but when she whispered those words his whole body had reacted. Heat rushed through his veins as the anticipation of taking her to the playroom made it hard to think about anything else. Like all his blood flowed from his brain to his dick and nothing else mattered except doing what Evelyn wanted.

He didn’t wait for her to tell him again because this was something he had been hoping for, even though he hadn’t imagined it would happen on their first day back.

He took her hand and led her up the stairs, and at the door to his favourite room in the house, he paused.

“Are you sure? We should talk first,” he said.

He was impressed with himself for asking.
