“Geez come on dude, you’re creeping me out,” Ken said exasperatedly wondering if he can also hear his thoughts.

After some seconds, he sighed and slowly added, “Actually, It’s my grandparents… they want me to marry from an affluent family to elevate the family’s business.”

Carl frowned and scoffed inside, finding it absurd. “So, you’ll do that?” he said nonchalantly.

Ken shook his head rapidly and said, “Never!… I love her so much… and I can’t live with any other woman beside her.” He paused and sighed then added slowly. “Actually, I didn’t know what my family said to her because she was the one that initiated the breakup… but, I’m trying my best to convince them.”

“Mm.” Carl nodded then said, “If she loves you, don’t give up.”

Ken also nodded and sighed. He would have to get through his family first which will be very difficult but he will fight to his last strength. “We love each other and…” he stopped mid-sentence as one of the guards ran inside.
