Ezrah was not liking this, but Rush had been by Michelle’s side for most of her life after faking her death so how could Ezrah understand the depth of his relationship with Michelle?

His gaze lowered to the floor so he would not see the hug, as that would make him uncomfortable.

“Am I obligated to do so?” Michelle asked, unwilling to comply and Ezrah’s gaze lifted, following her silhouette.

How foolish of him to even desire it after messing up so badly?

“It’s alright if you don’t want to. I hope we meet again in a more comfortable environment.”

Knowing that Rush was talking about the possibility of them meeting again in Los Angeles since Michelle did not plan to stay long in New York, she was suddenly encased with the thought of relocating somewhere else that was neither New York nor Los Angeles.
