Chapter 48. Sarcasm and Insult

Brianna has never been won in an argument before but right now she is helpless and can’t do anything else but nod.

As much as she can say that her family is not much cultured, she knows her dad is strict and won’t waste a second disowning her if he ever gets to find out about her sexual escapades. And in such a case, if he speaks, not even her mum will be able to stop him. That will be a dead end for her.

She has managed to keep her acts a secret from both the news and her family for a while now and intends to keep it that way.

She has known Lucien for a while now and one thing she is sure of is that he never backbites so she doesn’t feel scared that he knows about it because she knows as long as she doesn’t expose him he won’t as well.

And as much as she hates the fact that she has a deal with him, she knows it’s a fair deal and one she will guide with her life.

Noticing the expression on her face and reading meaning into it, Lucien exhales and smiles.
