Chapter 63. This Can’t Be Real!

Brooks can’t help but wonder what Mr. Corbin is meeting him for and how crucial it is that he will come over at such an early hour as he comes out of the elevator leading to the bottom floor. It gives him a sense of pride he’s never felt before. One he didn’t feel even when he met the Pearsons for the first time.

He just can’t stop smiling; everybody who sees him will assume he’s won a lottery, not realizing it’s all because he’s meeting with Corbin Connor, the country’s number one general manager who other general managers and Ceos look up to.
