Chapter 60

"Damn it!" Jeremy cursed as the vampires charged towards them. The wolves accompanying the group barked and ran towards the vampires.

"We'll hold them off." Mandy faced Jeremy as the vampires inched nearer. "You need to find Dominic."

"But..." Jeremy protested.

"She's right." Verona spoke. Jeremy noticed her eyes were closed. "He's at the last floor in an office by your far left."

She opened her eyes and faced him.

"Go." She nodded to towards the stairs at his left. 

Jeremy stared towards the direction of the stairs and then back to Mandy, indecision filling his eyes.

"I'll be fine." She smiled and caressed his cheek. "This is the day you've been waiting for. Don't hold back."

She leaned forward and kissed him and he reciprocated.

"Go." She whispered as they pulled apart. 

Jeremy nodded and ran towards the stairs. Mandy turned her attention to the vampires who were now closer and charged at them with a cry.
