"If you are asking about my grandmother's plan, milady, I have no idea why she had sent me here. What all I've instructed before she died last year was to take it away from our hiding place and come here and ask for shelter. But she cast a spell that aside from me and the fated one, no one shall touch the heirloom or risk an early death. Anyone curious enough was welcome to try though." The brave little girl added as she took the old book from the satchel.

“I believe you. But didn’t you contemplate the outcomes of implicating a stranger in your plans? Even with the barbarians at your heels, you should’ve realized how risky this was.”

“Of course I saw the danger. But the alternatives were worse. If I’d tried to fend for myself and Eddie, which wasn't as promising, the villagers would have captured us, and all the information from the other witches would’ve fallen into their hands.” Celestina raised the satchel again, waving it in the air. 

“So I made the best of the s
