Tommy let out a breath, completely unconscious that he had been holding it up until that point, and stepped past Raymond, nodding and thanking him as he proceeded towards the unoccupied chair. His fingers trembled a bit as he reached for the magazine on the table, attempting to divert his attention away from his thoughts.
He knew the difference between asking for aid and being provided assistance, but he was more than prepared to take a chance and risk everything. He'd promised to assist him, but all his mind could focus on was the agony of the memories of that disastrous night, which had completely devastated his existence that he had let his life to a grinding halt.
