Andrew's group hurriedly sprinted to the scent of the feral werewolf. He knew it was Tomas. Diana murmured, "Andrew, can you smell what I—”

“Yes,” he intruded.

“We need to hurry.”

“That is what we are doing.”

She rolled her eyes.

Breathing heavily, Raymond and Eve followed suit and reached the riverbanks in no time. Andrew stopped abruptly when he saw the massive creatures. A huge, vicious jet black werewolf with a broad body and stocky legs, a long snout, and raven shaggy hair with red, fiery eyes. It lay on the bank of the river and seemed like it was finally awake and now glaring at them. Slowly, he covered Diana with his body and told Eve and Raymond to back away a little. “Stay hidden. I will handle this.”

"Oh, bloody hell no, Andrew, that thing is massive." Diana saw nothing like this before. The stiffness on its muscles told her the beast had been worrying; it was not just an ordinary feral, it looked at Andrew with a knowing, intelligent look.
