Chapter 16
Broken
Over time, he has grown in his power, using it for good, but he still can’t stand the discrimination he gets from women. He is highly lauded for his work at the NIA but can’t secure himself a woman. He sees Elizabeth, who of late has been avoiding him, and approaches her.
“Hey Elizabeth, how are you doing? It’s been quite a while now. What have you been up to?” Reece asks her.
“Stay away from me, Reece. I don’t want to be tagged as the agent who smiles at the worst guy here. Have you taken a look at yourself in the mirror lately? You disgust me and I don’t know what I saw in you earlier,” replied Elizabeth in the midst of other agents at the NIA, and Reece felt ashamed of himself as they laughed at him.
He apologized to her and left the office in pain.
