Chapter 204. The Price of Every Piece of Information
Sarah arrived in the living room, where Anna was sitting at the head of the table, and believed that everything would change from now on. She would no longer be a maid in that house. Anna would give her back the power of a mistress. But when she dragged her chair over to sit down, Anna stopped her with a gesture of her hand.
“No. You're not going to sit down. We'll talk this way. Also, don't come any closer to me. Keep your distance from now on.”
Sarah gave her best hurt look, and was already thinking of saying words to move Anna, when Judith came in with a tray of her favorite cocktail, and she felt the joy return, until the glass was placed in front of Anna, who took it, and after taking a sip, clicked her tongue with a satisfied countenance.
“My child... You have to help me.” Sarah said, thinking of appealing to her pure feelings. “I'm here, in charge of washing toilets. I'm treated like dirt in this mansion.”
