Chapter 94. A Different Kind of Monster
Maxwell blinked before he understood what those words really meant. And when he did, he was stunned. She kept staring at him, as if waiting for an answer. And he didn't know what to say in the face of what was definitely an unusual situation.
“Since when?” Maxwell finally managed to think of something to keep her talking before he did what was on his mind every time he saw her. It was only when she wasn't there that he managed not to think about her and what he wanted to do with her.
“Ever since I saw you for the first time.” She said and raised her bottle as if to toast him. Maxwell understood that all the storm she had brought was really just a jealousy crisis.
“You thought I was Adam. I saw your look of recognition as soon as you came in here.”
“Still, that was the moment I fell in love.”
“And why didn't you say so before? Why only now?”
