Chapter 38. The Falls

When Emily told me about the falls in the pack grounds, I knew I had to see it. I am a sucker for nature, especially water bodies.

On the way to the falls, Lucius kept asking me if I was no longer mad at him.

"I am still mad, but we can't deny the fact that both our wolves want to be together. Space won't do any of us good. I may be civil with you, but I can't promise the same towards Pamela. Avi hates her more than anything else. I'm sure your wolf can relate to it. As long as she stays out of my way, keeps her dirty paws to herself, and shuts her big mouth, I can live with that," I said.

"So, does that mean I can join you during meals?" he asked.

I thought for a second before answering.

"Only meals," I said.

"Okay. I can live with that," he replied.

We were both quiet for the rest of the ride to the falls. We both had a lot of things on our mind.
