Maia's POV

'Maia, I think you are pregnant.' Avi said.

It all came down on me. Flashbacks of that night came back to my head.

If my calculations were right, and I'd been here for a month already, that meant I'd missed my period.

Ever since Avi told me her suspicions, I had been at war with myself and also with Avi.

'I can't do this, Avi. How am I supposed to take care of a human being? I can barely take care of myself.' I told Avi.
