Ashley cleared his throat, looking at his reflection in the rearview mirror of his car for the umpteenth time.

And for the umpteenth time, he tidied himself up, making sure he looked perfect.

His clothes were neat, and he had a bouquet of organic red roses that he had bought at a flower shop near his house.

Everything was ready. He looked perfect. Good.

He sprayed a little perfume on his wrists and neck, then signaled to himself to get out of the car.

He knew that this was not just a regular date surprise, but that it also concerned the safety of his clan.

But on the other hand, he couldn't hide his excitement. 

It had been more than two weeks since he had been able to spend time with Garfield.
