Aiden ran down the mansion's corridors, ignoring the greetings from the servants and troops surrounding them.

His mind was focused on one thing. His heart was filled with turmoil and worry. He felt uneasy.

He had just finished attending a meeting, where he had once again asked the elders to elevate Ashley from slave to guest of honor, but he hadn't found Ashley in his room as usual.

Normally, his master would be in the room, either waiting for him in bed or reading a book in the study, oblivious to his presence.
