Apparently, Xavier was so deep in thought that he hadn't even noticed me. He looked at his glass unhappily, lost in thought. It was a sad sight, my heart felt heavy.

I addressed him in a serious tone, "Alpha." Immediately his eyes darted to me and he looked very surprised. You couldn't blame him for never expecting to see me again today. Basically, neither did I, but when I saw the light I couldn't help it. I was just drawn to him.

Xavier didn't answer and looked at me questioningly. So I asked one, "Since when do I have to go up to my room by myself after dinner in this house?"

Sitting with him would be too much for today. But escort to my room was more than fine so he would know all hope was not lost. And I wanted to tell him that I didn't think he was a monster.
