Chapter 57

I had absolutely no desire to talk to Anastasia and Mai. This couldn't end well. Lilia was keen, but no thanks.

Mai looked at our mum and said, "Come on, I'll take you to your room. You should relax a bit from the trip." Our mum looked at her seriously and replied, "Mai, I'm a grown woman. I can decide for myself whether I need rest or not."

What were my sisters up to? That couldn't mean anything good.

Anastasia had come to me and grabbed my hand. She said, "I'm dying for the garden and a walk is just the thing." She pulled me with her and Mai said, "Mum, we mean well. We're not ordering you to..."
