Chapter 10. Let’s Go out

ADELINE’S POV

By the time Dante dropped me home, it was already seven p.m. and I couldn’t even believe how late it had gotten. I felt awkward because I didn’t really want to invite Dante in given that fact that Liam is going through something traumatic right now and I don’t want to just barge in with my new patient.

Fortunately for me, Dante told me he had an urgent matter to take care of. It made me wonder what could be so important that he had to so at seven p.m. but I quickly brushed off the thought. I know nothing about the man and he surely has an entire life that I don’t even know about.

I left my car in the parking lot at work, so Dante offered to come over and drive me to work tomorrow. I tried to object but before I could get the words out, he planted his lips on mine and whispered goodbye against my lips, shutting me up and leaving pleasurable sparks on my skin.

I still can’t stop thinking about how perfect our bodies were next to each other.
