Chapter 98. A Way

ADELINE’S POV

“A new girl is going to come in today.” Colton says immediately he gets into my room. I’m getting ready for today’s next activity. It’s called hide and seek and I cant help but wonder what silly game Veronica is going to make us play this time. I already gave Dante and Liam’s numbers to Colton. Now, all he has to do is figure out a way to contact them without Veronica suspecting a thing.

“A new girl…” I repeat his words, dread, horror, and anger all simultaneously filling my senses at the thought of another girl being brought into this hell hole. The cold air hits my face, and I silence my emotions once again. I lock them up so deep that the only thing I can think about is the murderous feeling that I have in my chest. I focus on that feeling. I focus on the bodies of my enemies dead on the ground.

I focus on the victory that I will have once Colton and I both get what we want. I focus on the image of Veronica’s dead body in front of me.
