Chapter 127. Disunity

Lar dragged his feet as he watched the couple argue. Unable to stand their argument anymore, he yelled at them in a loud voice. “Hush your mouth!”

           He narrowed his gaze on Max and then glanced at Helen. “You two were the last to see my mistress beside Uranus and Meliae.”

           “And so?” Max cast a burning gaze on Lar with his dark eyes.

           “She never arrived at the Mount of Justice with Uranus.”

           “What? What’s that supposed to mean?” Max blurted out.

           Lar emits a soft air from his mouth and opened his mouth to speak. “It means that there was never any trial and something bad must have happened to her.”

           “But she told us Uranus can’t break free from her binding spell so what could have gone wrong?” Helen cuts in.
