Chapter 38. A Dinner Date
Amelia’s POV
Anna and Audrey went to check my accessories catalog at the showroom with Cadence, while I trotted off to my office followed by Tristan. Just as the door closed, he rushed towards me and pulled me into his arms, flush against his chest. The warmth and the tingling smell of his cologne hit me and I felt lost in him, just like I always did whenever he was near me. It seemed as if he, too, was waiting to catch a moment with one another.
“What are you doing? Mom and Anna will come in any minute,” I said, eyeing the door with dread. No, they won’t. They know I need my daily dose of kisses to keep me sane," he said cheekily, making my jaws drop in disbelief. Did he tell them about us already?
“If I wouldn’t have been there, still you would want a daily dose?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. I knew that I never felt the need when he wasn’t there in my life. Was it the same for him as well?
“I never felt the need before. It’s only with you, baby doll
