Chapter 28. Moving In with Julian

Cassandra’s POV

The next day was the wedding. We dressed up in the extravagant dresses that Amelia designed for us. I wore a coral off-shoulder crepe lace gown paired with a crepe-matching satin belt. As I dressed Arielle, I thought about Max, and what he was doing. I was worried about him initially and spoke to Aunt Caroline every day, but when I saw how happy Max was with them, I relaxed. Nora was good at her job and took good care of him, and he had warmed up to her. I couldn’t ask for more.

Tonight after the wedding, Julian and I would leave for home. I was happy to go back to Max.

The whole wedding, the reception party, was very enjoyable indeed and went by in a daze amidst laughter and enjoyment. Julian took lots of photographs of us and we made so many memories together that I knew I could never forget the time we spent here together.
