Five years later

“Are you guys ready?” asked Adrian, as the children jumped with excitement.

“Yes, daddy.”

“Then let’s go,” he said as he fist-bumped both of them.

I smiled indulgently at my children, Xaviell Braxton Henderson, my son who was born five minutes earlier than my beautiful daughter Brianna Esme Henderson.
