Chapter 6. I'm So Confused

Claire’s POV

“That kiss wasn’t an accident and neither will the others,” he stated, approaching me angrily. My eyes widened, and I looked towards the door. Should I make a dash for it? Why was he coming towards me? I knew how much the kiss had aroused me last night. Seeing the object of my wet dreams last night here so early in the morning almost gave me a heart attack. How could he look so unaffected and drool-worthy all the time?

I backed against the kitchen counter instead while he stopped inches away from me. My breath got stuck in my throat and I gazed back wide-eyed into his glittering eyes. Why did he look so angry? His fingers grabbed my arms, and he dipped his head closer. Would he kiss me again like he did last night? My breath hitched with anticipation, yet I could not look away. There was a strange pull between us that couldn’t be ignored. His eyes seemed to lure me into their intense depths.
