Chapter 27. Fighting for Him

Claire’s POV

The next day was the wedding day, and Jordan and Jennifer were busy since morning. Their friends had arrived and the whole place was too crowded to my liking, but it wasn’t my event, so I wasn’t complaining. Even Jason looked a little annoyed when Jennifer’s friends tried to hit on him. I wore a light quartz jersey gown with a twisted knot empire waist and a matching hair accessory to fix my hair away from my face and cascade down my shoulders.

I walked down to the rose garden with Jennifer’s cousins and siblings, who were much better than her friends. With Jason and my brothers busy with Jordan, I was actually feeling a little left out here. I met Jason’s eye as he stood farther away with his brother, looking dashing in the tuxedo he paraded around earlier in. I smiled and noted the hungry look that flashed in his eyes. It was all the appreciation I wanted. Mom and Dad came over to me and we waited for the bridal procession to start.
